Four steps, then it looks after itself
The setup is a simple one-off process. After that, translation is a side effect of publishing - no manual process needed. You can add or remove languages instantly through the Umbraco back office.
-
Set up Umbraco Translator
EN FR DE NLInstall the package, paste your licence key, and add the languages you want in the Umbraco settings tree.
-
Add the language selector
ENDrop one partial into your layout. Visitors get a selector; you get the routing for every culture.
-
Edit in your base language
ENEditors carry on as they always have. There is no second interface and no translation queue to manage.
-
Translations happen automatically
EN FR DE NLOn publish, every added language is translated behind the scenes. Your source stays untouched.
Steps one and two are developer work and happen once per site. Steps three and four are the day-to-day, and belong entirely to your content editors.
